Current Oil and Gas Assets
In the US apart from the Green Canyon ORI the Company has working interests in a number of small fields in Oklahoma -BF 2&3 (its first acquisition), Kleckner and Harrison. The company also holds a royalty interest in the Vernon field, Jackson Parish, Louisiana and an Overriding Royalty position in the Barnett Shale play in LBJ situated in northern Wise County, Texas.

Justin
The company’s main US asset is its Working Interests (WIs) in the Justin field. This is an ongoing Barnett shale gas development project in Denton County, Texas approximately 20 miles west of Dallas. J W Operating’s affiliate company Cohort Energy Company became operator on 1 January, 2004. The interest was acquired in August 2001 and comprised 12 lease blocks.

As at July 2008, FPC had WIs in 50 producing wells with a further 30 wells estimated to be drilled by 2010 though that might increase as technology improves. The next drilling plan will be available in September.

Jim McKenny is agent (Attorney-in-Fact) for FPC and manages its US properties. He is President of JCM Exploration, Inc. Vice President of McKenny Energy Company, LLC and CEO & Chief Geologist for Caithness Petroleum, USA.
